My name is Anika! I’ve always been a product of multiple cultures. Having grown up in India and moved to the U.S for college, bringing different worlds together has been a key element of my own identity. That thread followed into my interests in college where i studied visual art, computer science and psychology. By bringing those together, i've gotten to work on some pretty exciting projects.
Right now, I work on animated feature and tv projects at Baobab Studios, an 9 time Emmy award winning independent animation studio, creatively led by Eric Darnell (Writer, Director Madagascar Franchise). As a creative development manager, I oversee teams of directors, writers, and artists on a number of original 4-quad TV and Feature projects in various stages of development through to pitch.
Before that, I led an international production on 2022 Oscar shortlisted animated short film Namoo (Directed by Erick Oh), now on HBOMax. Executive Produced by John Cho. GOLD List Best Animated Short. Premiered at Sundance Film Festival 2021. Also at SXSW, Tribeca Film Festival, Annecy Film Festival, Austin Film Festival, Ottawa Film Festival, HollyShorts and more!
